Description
There's a new command in the instructions which is unexplained. Though it's easy enough to see what it does, it is new to the instructions and should have a "Command explanations" entry to explain its purpose.

I forgot to mention the command referenced earlier in this bug. The "sh INSTALL" command.
Additionally, simply dumping an environment variable into /etc/profile, (XML_CATALOG_FILES) without any explanation why it is there or what it does can only cause confusion and its purpose needs is unknown.
This entry in the instructions should be explained. Even better, this is not really a installation task, but it is a configuration task, and should be annotated and explained in a configuration section instead of the installation section.
Furthermore, it somewhat breaks the /etc/profile.d implementation used earlier in the book.
