The PDF and Fontbox JAR files are no longer available from the link in the book. These need to be updated.
The JAI Image I/O Tools are no longer available either (optional external dependency). I get the same Java.net retiring page.
I recommend hosting the JAR files on Anduin if we can.

For pdf and fontbox, change 2.0.11 to 2.0.13. I'll update the book.
Also, JAI tools have a site: http://jai-tools.blogspot.com/ There are links to jar's.

Sorry, that's not really "solving" the problem. I was writing from memory... OTOH, I'm not for hosting those jar on anduin, since new versions are likely to bring improvements, and we may miss those if the jars are frozen on anduin...

I think I've solved this... Forgot to update the book; Let me consult my logs... Don't hurry on hosting them on anduin. For JAI, I wonder if it is still usable anyway with fop-2.2.
