Trying to work out why my build of asymptote-2.49 on BLFS-8.4 is severely broken (the binary version from TL2019-pretest as of last night is ok, I'm starting to wonder if more ghostscript tightening-up might be to blame), I started reading the relevant threads on tlbuild and noticed that gc-8.0.4 is out.
I thought it didn't get picked up because it has moved to github.

The new version is being used by gentoo and void linux, also by some BSDs, but the old homepage still refers to 8.0.2.

And there, I can also see 8.0.4, so I'm not sure why this didn't get flagged up already. Looks as if the github site is not a recent development.
I committed gc-8.0.4 this morning at release 21433.
