Description ¶
If anbody wants to use regular accounts/passwords for FTP connection, additional parameter should be added "--enable-shadow" to configure script. The "RequireValidShell off" line must be added to proftpd.conf or /etc/shells must be properly set.
Above mentioned thnigs need not to be default. Probably only comments on that might/should be added.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
The book points to documentation and examples. Additionally, using ftp for regular accounts is a bad security practice because passwords/lognames are passwd in the clear.
