Description
These fix the Jump Conditional Code erratum on Skylake and derived CPUs.
On certain later processors they might also fix TSX Async Abort (TAA) CVE-2019-11135.
Upgrading to kernel 5.3.11 (or 4.19.84 if you use the stable series) may be required, these will also document the status of the ilTLB Multihit vulnerability, CVE-2018-12207 which refers to a machine check error possibly resulting in an unrecoverable CPU lockup when the page size is changed. Some sites suggest this is caused by a malicious guest in a virtual system, but the commits suggest it can also happen on bare metal. See also https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=205195
