I'm planning to start a test server build (initially as an nfs client, then convert to a server when all packages have been completed) in the next few days. For now, I'll just note that it seems to build ok on glibc-2.30 with the current instructions.

Works fine. Looking at the contents, nfsconf is new and osd_login is missing.
No references to osd_login in the tarball, and looking back at my past installs I've not had it when installing 2.4.1, but it was present in 2.3.3 so I think it has been removed in 2.4.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
In the release a lot of work was done to bring the internal rpcgen command up to speed.
A couple new mount options nconnect and softreval were added.
A number of compilation changes were made to enable compiling in other Linux-like environments.
As well as the usual bug fixes.
The package location should be changed to
https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/nfs-utils/
We missed version 2.4.2 on Nov 15, 2019.
