I disagree with the previous text in this bug. As is clearly shown on http://www.openldap.org/software/download/, there is a version shown as "stable". All others are experimental.
I believe we should stick with what the maintainer feels is the "stable" version.

Why Bruce?
This sets a precedent to use non-stable packages.
Since when is this the procedure we use? OpenLDAP for years has had 'release' versions and 'stable' versions. BLFS has *always* used the stable version.
Why must we change now?

$#*&%. I had multiple windows up and changed it to 2.2.26 and then committed the wrong page. The proper version as of right now is 2.2.26.

Updated BLFS to OpenLDAP-2.2.26 stable release. Also moved GDBM to a required (but not recommended) dependency and added new dependencies.
Also added a note for how to utilize GDBM as the primary backend database. Thanks to Tushar for all the heads-up on this stuff.
Version 2.2.7 is now available. The openldap home page also lists 2.3.4. It's unclear which we should use, but http://www.openldap.org/software/roadmap.html would indicate 2.3.4 is the proper version.
