Description ¶
Joe mentioned some merged-/usr adjustements earlier in blfs-dev:
Build needs --with-udev-base-dir=/usr/lib/udev UDEV_BASE_DIR="/lib/udev" is set in configure.ac
Pulseaudio
Build needs -Dudevrulesdir=/usr/lib/udev/rules.d Defaults to /lib/udev/rules.d in mason.build
LXDM
Book uses --with-systemdsystemunitdir=/lib/systemd/system Remove and it installs to the correct location

After thinking about it, I am going to mark this ticket as wontfix. For users who have not upgraded to non-split /bin, /lib, etc in sysV, this change will not install the rules in the right place. I understand that for systemd users it doesn't make any difference.
I did check the rest of the book and all the other changes were to /usr/lib or /usr/bin so this is a unique situation.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
I have a problem with this ticket. The suggestions break the subject packages if the user is reinstalling into a non-merged /usr system. I think we should just leave things as they are and let /lib -> usr/lib do the right thing for both merged and non-merged /usr systems.
