"On 2022-01-26, fetchmail 6.4.27 has been released. It updates the Romanian translation (courtesy of Remus-Gabriel Chelu) and bumps the wolfSSL compatibility to require 5.1.1 or newer, for security fixes. OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 3.0 remain supported."
Since we do not use wolfSSL this is not a security issue for us.
