Description

New versions for Skylake and later, details at https://github.com/intel/Intel-Linux-Processor-Microcode-Data-Files/releases/

My i3 skylake is still "supported" with a new version, I can take this in a few days unless anyone with a more modern CPU is interested ?

Marking as elevated, https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Intel-Microcode-20220207 mentions https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/security-center/advisory/intel-sa-00532.html CVE-2021-0127

From best I can tell, the only change to the book is s/20210608/20220207/ in the text of the section "Intel Microcode for the CPU".

Of course it need to be checked out.

I'm going to mark this fixed. There are 130 files with microcode in the tarball and we can't test them all. Book updated at commit 0b5bf8edca9f4f99a53d10ac4d8764f23764d2ad

Apart from my comment on -dev (I think the text probably needs slight rewording since the examples are no-longer current), this will need a Security Advisory. Adding to my queue.

I thought I'd commented in this, and then closed it, yesterday.

some slight rewording because the pair of examples are no-longer current, advisory SA 11.0-067 created.
