There has been discussion on BLFS-Dev about the impending addition of UTF-8 material to LFS. Many of the BLFS packages need to be identified that there are UTF-8/Locale related issues. See: http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/blfs-dev/2005-December/012711.html
It has been determined that a new page will be added to Chapter 2 "Important Information" titled "Locale Related Issues" (title subject to change if others can provide a better or more meaningful title). See the URL above for a link to the entire thread where alternatives and current ideas are presented.

The Locale Issues page is available and there is also a Wiki for some of the items. As this bug was detailed for creating the page, and it has been done, I'm closing it as fixed. If there is a need to open a bug about Locale Issues, then it should be a new bug.
The first cut of the new "Locale Related Issues" has been placed in Chapter 2. The UnZip package was also updated to reflect a link to this new page.
The opening paragraph needs some work, and there are many more packages to add. This bug should be left open until Alexander is satisfied and he closes it.
