By the way, regarding the recent dependencies discussion:
It does not make too much sense: gobject-introspection depends on glib, so if we require gobject-introspection, there will be no need to list GLib.
And we can turn off gobject-introspection with
-Dintrospection=false, but I'm pretty sure doing so will make gnome-shell etc. crash. So IMO it should be recommended.
