Affected versions are Xorg-6.8.2 and (unfortunately) 7.0.0 (apply the patch to luit with -Np3).
This bug makes xterm in luit (locale) mode unusable. Affects Chinese and Japanese users, since xterm starts in luit mode by default in these locales.
