The tarball is available, but the Seamonkey website still says it's in Beta 1. I've contacted upstream via their mailing list and will update if they say it's good to go.

SeaMonkey 2.53.17 contains (among other changes) the following major changes relative
to SeaMonkey 2.53.16:

Fix macOS Contacts permission request bug 1826719.
Remove SeaMonkey 2.57 links from debugQA bug 1829683.
Treat opening urls from the library as external bug 1619108.
Disable spam warning for autogenerated links in plaintext messages bug 619031.
Switch SeaMonkey build files to Python 3 bug 1635849.
Remove empty overlays from Composer bug 1828533.
Move xpfe autocomplete to comm-central suite bug 1418512.
Remove nsIPrefBranch2 and nsIPrefBranchInternal bug 1374847.

It also contains fixes up to Firefox/Thunderbird 102.11. The previous one contained fixes from 102.9, so that'll make this advisory for:

CVE-2023-29533, CVE-2023-29535, CVE-2023-29536, CVE-2023-29539, CVE-2023-29541, CVE-2023-1945, CVE-2023-29548, CVE-2023-29550, CVE-2023-28427, CVE-2023-0547, CVE-2023-29479, CVE-2023-32205, CVE-2023-32206, CVE-2023-32207, CVE-2023-32211, CVE-2023-32212, CVE-2023-32213, and CVE-2023-32215.

The good news so far - no more Python 2 used... at all :)

The bad news is that our custom lsb_release causes a conflict with it's version of the python distro package in it's virtualenv. Firefox has worked around this with a specific workaround, so we'll just apply that as a sed and I'll bring it up to upstream.

Building now...
