Description ¶
New point version.
Currently qemu-8.1.0-rc3 is also available. Let's wait for 8.1.0 for a while. qemu is an "end" package and can be updated any time during the normal package freeze period.

Replying to Rahul Chandra:
The release is scheduled for tomorrow, https://wiki.qemu.org/Planning/8.1.0 Way to much in the changelog (https://wiki.qemu.org/ChangeLog/8.1) to put here, but the only one relevant to BLFS is that pipewire is now an optional dependency for the audio system.
I haven't tested the build yet, but I assume like the others that it checks for the audio systems installed and enables/disables them implicitly rather than explicitly stating it (through a configure option).
We are already explicitly stating ALSA anyway.
