Gnumeric-1.6.3 won't compile against this version of goffice, it's configure script specifically checks for a version of libgoffice < 0.3.0 so there must be some sort of api change in this release of goffice.

This bug should be closed until Gnumeric-1.7 is released as the stable version. Since Andy owns the bug, I'll let him close it.

If 1.7.0 is the development branch of gnumeric then this is probably the development branch of goffice. Gnumeric-1.7.0 compiles against it no problem.

You probably shouldn't update this package until you've also installed and fully tested Gnumeric. Gnumeric is the only reason this package is in the book. And a proper test of Gnumeric is going to include an almost full GNOME install. :-)
