Yeah, no need to push it. On the plus side, when we're ready to put it in the book, I'll already have been using it for a while. I'll probably install it and kick the tires this weekend.

Some notes:
- The patches and the seds are no longer required
- I didn't notice the sysconfdir change as no files are installed by default
- The SQlite dependency should probably have a (version 2) attached, as it still doesn't look for version 3.
I know Dan has mentioned he'd like to see the sasldb dir be /etc/somethingoranother, but I think it really belongs in /var/lib. The sasldb is not configuration information. If I'm mistaken, and Dan hasn't mentioned this, then please disregard this last comment.

Dan,
Is there anything I can do to help out on this one? I've installed this version many times now, and I'm not seeing any issues. I'm working on getting the BLFS support package infrastructure up to snuff, and this one needs updating.

You can take it if you want. For some reason, this one always slides down the priority list with me.
The only one thing I'd like to see is that the plugins get there config path set in /etc. In 2.1.21, this was $libdir/sasl2, meaning that you had to configure /usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf, for example. Nothing else extraordinary from what I remember.
I noticed you marked this as a "future" bug, Dan. Good! As we discussed and agreed on earlier, it may be best to let this one slide until after 6.2. The biggest issues (SSL and LDAP) we already have fixed with your patches.
