Yes, of course. Thanks Dan for the information. I will try and do it today. I have time to test the NSS building/test suite and installation and then build firefox and Thunderbird. Though if this is the version (not really if, because Dan's research shows it is along with the CVE notes) used in new Firefox/Thunderbird we should be confident that it will work.
Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

And here is a security vulnerability which also shows that this is the NSS shipped in firefox/thunderbird-1.5.0.7 and seamonkey-1.0.5.
