Description (last modified by )
p7zip is a fork of 7zip for Linux and it's discontinued as the original 7zip project now supports Linux out of the box.
7zip can be downloaded at https://www.7-zip.org/a/7z2409-src.tar.xz.
ATTENTION: the tarball extracts into multiple directories. We need to create a directory and cd into it before extracting the tarball, like docbook-xml-4.5.
It was originally reported via blfs-dev but the reporter submitted a completely unusable patch to the book. We need to do this on our own.

https://github.com/ip7z/7zip/archive/24.09/7zip-24.09.tar.gz is a better tarball (which does not extract into multiple directories).
