Description
In #lfs-support there was a small chat about an issue with breeze:
[00:35:15] <ax562> Afternoon folks, I'm trying to build plasma but I'm getting this "breeze-6.3.2" error ".
[00:35:17] <ax562> kcursorgen/main.cpp:37:22: error: invalid use of incomplete type ‘class QDebug’
[00:35:18] <ax562> 37 | qCritical() << "Missing <svg-dir> parameter";
[00:35:43] <ax562> here's the complete err https://bpa.st/F6TA
[01:00:00] - {Tageswechsel: Donnerstag, 24. April 2025}
[01:01:54] <-- zeemate (~chris@2001:16b8:b101:a300:67c:16ff:fe50:8356) hat das Netzwerk verlassen (Ping timeout: 272 seconds)
[01:06:26] <t4nk_fn> ax562, don't know what you're doing, or where you got what etc..
[01:06:59] <t4nk_fn> but what happens if you include QDebug manually in the main.cpp file for example?
[01:07:55] <t4nk_fn> you'll likely run into other errors later on perhaps, and you probably haven't supplied enough info on how it was invoked etc
[01:10:47] <ax562> t4nk_fn not sure what was going on. I was using the source tar from blfs. Just clonned breeze from git and problems seemsed to have gone away. The git is pretty beefy, I'm susupecting extra modules not included
[01:11:41] <t4nk_fn> where was that from? got a link to the page ( just out of curiosity )
[01:11:56] <t4nk_fn> the blfs page that is
[01:12:02] <ax562> https://invent.kde.org/plasma/breeze
[01:12:10] <t4nk_fn> no
[01:12:25] <t4nk_fn> the blfs one I meant
[01:12:46] <ax562> I'm using version r12.3-378
[01:14:27] <ax562> https://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/downloads/stable-systemd/BLFS-BOOK-12.3-systemd-nochunks.html#plasma-build
[01:14:49] <ax562> looks identical
[01:17:09] <t4nk_fn> https://invent.kde.org/plasma/breeze/-/commit/663da19b8ba6b9849b81bc57f7f8ff4944f6976a
[01:18:48] <ax562> well, there it is
[01:19:02] <t4nk_fn> hehe
[01:19:20] <ax562> using git rather than source tar ball fixed :)
Basically, breeze is missing a #include <QDebug> in cursors/src/kcursorgen/kcursorgen.cpp (see the mentioned patch). For us, it might be written as a small sed.
(I've no plasma installed anywhere so i cannot test that)

That works for me :) I'll take care of my qtwebengine ticket but wait on the full plasma until next week

It's caused by qt 6.9.0
I've been doing this for a while
sed -i '/^#include/ a #include <QDebug>' cursors/src/kcursorgen/main.cpp

I used a slightly differed location for breeze, but also found the same problem with plasma-vault. Both are fixed at commit d15d9ed686.
In the same commit upgraded to plasma-6.3.4.

I can confirm this failure. I missed it in my log when I updated to plasma-6.3.2.
We might want to wait on fixing it and wait until I can do a full KDE update. Plasma-6.3.5 will be released on May 6th.
I can do the update early next week for Plasma-6.3.4 which was released on April 1st.
