Description
ifplugd monitors the status of your network connection. When you plug the cable in and a link is available, the systems native ifup/ifdown scripts get run.

These days, NetworkManager seems to be the preferred solution, and ifplugd is unmaintained. Closing as invalid, even though I still use ifplugd, not NetworkManager, on my laptop.
