Description

It seems not so useful. In btrfs-progs we can --disable-lzo.

It's used in libarchive, cairo, btrfs, qemu, xarchiver, and mariadb. Since the purpose is speed in compression/decompression, I can see where it would be useful in all of those packages.

It's pretty small (588 KB) and fast (0.3 SBU) I can see adding it to LFS and grouping it with gzip, bzip2, xz, and zstd.

I would prefer to keep it as well and not archive it. My MariaDB databases are all archived using LZO.
