It now requires fmt and simdutf (​https://github.com/simdutf/simdutf); otherwise their copies will be downloaded from Internet.

simdutf is a rather regular cmake package: 

cmake -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -G Ninja .. -D BUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON
