Firefox FTBFS. sed to fix it supplied by lumaro@… in https://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/sympa/arc/blfs-support/2025-11/msg00002.html

sed -i '/VIRAMA = 47/a\      /* UNAMBIGUOUS_HYPHEN = 48,           [UH] */ CLASS_CHARACTER,' intl/lwbrk/LineBreaker.cpp

Figuring out the download URL was tricky:

https://github.com/unicode-org/icu/releases/download/release-78.1/icu4c-78.1-sources.tgz

They changed release-77-1 to release-78.1 (note the change from - (dash) to . (dot) and from 77_1-src to 78.1-sources

It still expands to the directory 'icu'.

It's unclear above, but the sed refers to a file in Firefox, not icu.

For our purposes It looks like the sed needed can be simplified to

  sed -e '/VIRAMA = 47/a CLASS_CHARACTER,' \
      -i  intl/lwbrk/LineBreaker.cpp

We don't really need the comment or to worry about the spacing.

Replying to Xi Ruoyao:

It will increase the number of failures in spidermonkey to 106.

I added the sed in comment 3 to spidermonkey and got:

$ grep 'UNEXPECTED-FAIL' jstest.log|wc -l
    103

I did update firefox, but not spidermonkey.
