pine man page is not installed
cp $pine_srcdir/doc/pine.1 /usr/share/man/man1
SSL support would be useful as a nowadays more commonly security feature...
If you like to use it build pine4.44 with:
./build slx DEBUG='-Os ' SSLDIR=/usr SSLCERTS=/etc/ssl/certs
MAILSPOOL='/var/mail'
