Description ¶
Unfortunately, this was forgotten about and not included in the 6.2.0 release. Anyway, as was noted on -dev, the Sudo package does not list dependencies. My notes show that Sudo can optionally use: OpenLDAP, krb4, MITKRB or Heimdal, Linux-PAM, an MTA, S/Key and Electric Fence.
I've been electing to leave S/Key dependencies out of packages (Linux-PAM, Shadow, etc.) as there doesn't appear to be a current logdaemon package to install (I sort of look at this one similar to the SeLinux dependencies). Also, just for the records, I've been leaving the libaudit dependency out of packages because the libaudit package seems to Red-Hat specific.

Changing the bug to a version update, to include adding the dependencies. The book's current download URL is broken due to the version increment.

Version increment to 1.6.9p8
As there is a security issue involved with a previous version, the priority is being elevated.
Also note that the download URL needs to reflect the Sudo home page instead of Anduin.

I did notice that PAM is a default dependency, but sudo can be built without PAM with the --without-pam option passed to configure.

An optional command to include with sudo's updates:
sudo's default syslog facilty is set to a debugging level. This command specifies to compile sudo to use the auth facilty instead, since these messages are related to authentication.
