CC="gcc -std=gnu17" is no longer needed but psutils.test still fails with marginal errors.

Moving to 99-waiting until I have my workstation rebuilt (that'll come after I get the rest of my tickets taken care of)

There is an update for dvipdfmx that needs to be included as well

May I take this ticket? texlive-2025 needs to be passed CXX="g++ -std=gnu++17" in addition to CC (guess this changed with a recent version of icu). It would be better to update texlive instead of changing the book...

Hi Pierre! I would still prefer to do it. When updating Texlive in BLFS there is a comprehensive testsuite from Ken that needs to be run. There are also several upstream changes for critical runtime problems in texlive-2026 that need to be applied, and all of the dependencies and related perl modules for biber need to be reviewed. I will make an effort to get to this sometime in the next few days though!

I'm going to reassign these to the book for now so whoever wants to do them can do them.

In the meantime I will continue working on rivendell, but I do not want to continue holding the project back on important issues.
