SLIB-3b2
The package itself has moved to http://www-swiss.ai.mit.edu/~jaffer/SLIB.html but the only version there is 3b1 (in a zip file). I think there is a copy of 3a4 on some of the mirrors.
I'm not competent to evaluate the new version. The patch doesn't apply, looks as if the change to guile.init is probably needed, but I'm in the dark about the change(s) to require.scm. Fedora have 3b1 in 'development', with a patch for guile.init which I suppose does the same job.

Actually, though the home page for SLIB is at http://www-swiss.ai.mit.edu/~jaffer/SLIB.html the download location is the same:
http://swiss.csail.mit.edu/ftpdir/scm/
Keeping SLIB3a4 in the book for the BLFS-6.3 release. Changed the download URL to reference the OLD directory where the 3a4 tarball was moved. Changing the ticket to reflect the SLIB update to the 3b1 version.
