New version, bugfixes including fixes for corrupted xls. ​http://www.gnome.org/projects/gnumeric/announcements/1.8/gnumeric-1.8.2.shtml

goffice-0.6.2 and libgsf-1.14.8 are recommended.

Done (r7332) - the newer goffice is not appropriate for the versions of gtk etc in 6.3.
