ive sent a message to the "maintainer" of this part of the book. i plan to take maintainership of this part of the book if i dont get a reply (or he isnt interested in it any more)

ok - i havnt got a reply so im taking ths one if anyone else has done something towards this one already than mail me privately and we can work together. i plan to use inetutils instead of netkit (unless there is a reason we should stick with netkit)

I just want to make a comment on netkit-combo. I know that there've been several security vulnerabilities found in it recently so I was wondering (sorry to the person who is working on this) if we should move to using inetutils instead which at least is partially maintained..
