I have added a patch which brings the BLFS book up to date. Like the OpenSSL ticket, I am waiting for a BLFS editor's review before I commit because I don't want to miss some important editing policy.

This patch comments out the warning on the current XFS page. The bug appears to have been fixed. I tested this newest version of XFS on a machine running a 2.6.22.1 kernel which should have triggered the bug, but I was unable to reproduce the error.
