Summary: Postgresql-8.4.0 → Postgresql-8.3.9

After further review of the changes, I think we are better off staying withing the 8.3 framework. I installed 8.3.9. There seems to be a lot of changes that affect the database, and I'm not sure other maintainers have caught up yet. I'd like to back down this upgrade to 8.3.9.

Any comments?
