Description ¶
I installed firefox on GNOME. It ran ok. I went onto YouTube site and downloaded the Flash Player 10 plugin. Then, the browser crashed and segfaulted with no indication of what the problem was.
After a search on the Adobe linux blog http://blogs.adobe.com/penguin.swf/
someone mentioned in the comments that libcurl was required for flash player.
After the cURL install, YouTube videos played perfect.

Added errata item concerning Adobe Flash 10 plugin and libcURL.
Moving the ticket to 6.4 to ensure the issue is addressed in the book.

I can confirm this, the flash 10 plugin was segfaulting all the time. As soon as I installed cURL is worked just fine. However, I don't believe it should be a recommended dependency for a browser on the basis that the flash plugin needs it, the information should be provided to the user but the dependency should remain optional.

Firefox does not use curl. Flash is a closed source application that is not in the book. If you're having trouble with Flash I suggest that you ask Adobe about it.
Yes, it says 6.3 and is for the 6.3 milestone, but doesn't this also apply for 6.4?
