I didn't attempt to build this package because I found a Gentoo bug report about it: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=250444
It sounds like upgrading dbus will break other some other packages. I am not very familiar with dbus, but I created this ticket so progress toward adding this release to BLFS can be tracked.

Closing as a duplicate of 2726. As this version increment is a security update, BLFS needs to go with it, other packages breaking be damned. :-)
