Some changes are needed to the page:
- We don't need the patch anymore.
- It seems that it includes --with-ssl by default. Adding --with-openssl to the configure line, like the book says, just throws a message that you should use --with-ssl instead. And, this makes OpenSSL required now. So, ether:
- move up OpenSSL to a recommened dep, or:
- get rid of the --with-ssl command on the configure command.
- In both cases above, the --with-openssl thing needs to be removed for my above reason.
Oh, and since I checked, it's now MySQL 5.1.40.

No. According to (6.31. Inetutils-1.7), is moved to a FHS-compliant place, that is under /bin.

Sorry, I was going by Stable LFS 6.5 (Inetutils-1.6) where there is no mention of the hostname being moved, only ping.

Oh then, that should be a defect in 6.5, because hostname is being used in the localnet bootscript.
LFS used to install the hostname binary from coreutils.
