New version. Updating to this version will match the one used in the latest development version of LFS.

Matching the LFS version of Tcl and Tk isn't a priority. LFS doesn't install those packages (chapter 6), so there would never be a conflict.

Noted in the installation of Tk-8.5.9 is that the command "make test" (though not recommended) does not work at all due to a missing rule in the Makefile. It would probably be best to simply say "This package does not include a test suite", or whatever the standard message is.

Status: new → closed

I didn't look at the ticket before updating Tk, so there is no note about the broken Makefile. No big deal. It will probably be fixed in the next rev, and we don't recommend running it. I'm going to leave it as is, close this ticket and move on using my time for more important things.
