Drop 'cat srcunx/gvxreg.old |' and change rest to

sed s/netscape/[browser]/ srcunx/gvxreg.c.old >srcunx/gvxreg.c

Alternatively, we can assume LFS base (meaning newer gnu sed) and drop the copy too and use 'sed -i' form for in-place edit. I wouldn't though.
