I think I found the image(s) with "beta". Question: would it be correct to edit these images and include an edited png in the book with the word "beta" removed from the splash ? I know that there are splash images available for the user, e.g.http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/?content=151598 (that is how I discovered).

I wouldn't worry about it. It's up to the user to customize. If you want to explain how to change the image, that would be fine.

OK, thanks. I like the splash menu for practical reasons: if it does not appear almost immediately, the installation is probably broken. The program itself takes much longer to appear, in the first run, so, you do not have to wait for this.
Fixed at revision 11745.
Not needed anymore: system_poppler-1.patch
Still "beta" in splash screen, wish that could be removed before BLFS-7.4, but gave up trying to.
Some links necessary in /usr/share/pixmaps, for icons to appear in the menu, when installed in /opt.
libreoffice-printeradmin does not have an associated .desktop. I wonder if anybody uses it. In my system, I created one, but had to copy an icon in /usr/share/pixmaps.
I am rebuilding for the SBU calculation. Forgot and used $(getconf _NPROCESSORS_ONLN)(=4, in that machine). With that, SBU was slightly over 53.
