0.7.3 does install, but with 0.7 extensions to the file names. I assume this is to allow side by side installations with 0.6.4. Gnome-2.4.1 does not see the newer version. I left the book at 0.6.4 and will be on the lookout for applications that like the newer version before recommending duel installs.
