dnotify patch does not apply. Their mailing list archives suggest that there are some bugs with the dnotify implementation. That is also the reason the patch has not yet been integrated.
IMO, remove the dnotify patch and use the standard CMMI installation commands. That will also remove the autotools regeneration.
