I have an issue building gucharmap-3.12.0
VAPIGEN gucharmap-2.90.vapi Gucharmap-2.90.gir:1424.7-1424.33: error: The type name `Atk.TableCell' could not be found /usr/share/vala/Makefile.vapigen:61: recipe for target 'gucharmap-2.90.vapi' failed make[3]: *** [gucharmap-2.90.vapi] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory '/sources/gucharmap-3.12.0/gucharmap' Makefile:640: recipe for target 'all' failed make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory '/sources/gucharmap-3.12.0/gucharmap' stdOut: Makefile:598: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/sources/gucharmap-3.12.0' make: *** [all] Error 2 Makefile:479: recipe for target 'all' failed
By removing the --enable-vala switch fixes the build issue, but I don't think that's the best solution. i.e. there is still an underlying Vala issue.

Replying to wblaszcz:

ISTR that I had an analogous issue, because I had built g-i to late in the process. I wonder if this could be something similar (like vala built before g-i, or so).

I have reinstalled several packages, reverted to previous vala-0.22.1, previous atk, same problem.
Debian testing has already this gucharmap, but vala and at* are still not updated.

Situation similar in Arch (please, check, when I give these info, if I am not mis-interpreting what I read).
Wayne, I think for the moment, best solution would be remove the switch.
Agreed. I've removed the switch from my build script. I'll let you know if I find anything else.

OK.
Some problems with gnome-terminal:
Needed
https://github.com/hughsie/appdata-tools/archive/appdata_tools_0_1_7.tar.gz
autoreconf -fi && intltoolize && CMMI
and the switch --disable-search-provider otherwise the gnome-session provider would be necessary, I imagine this means the gnome-session application itself.
I am stopping today.
I didn't require an autoreconf. Please try this tarball http://people.freedesktop.org/~hughsient/releases/appdata-tools-0.1.7.tar.xz. I cannot really comment on the --disable-search-provider as I have gnome-session installed.

Problem with gnome-power-manager:
$ gnome-power-statistics (gnome-power-statistics:16568): libupower-glib-CRITICAL **: up_client_get_devices: assertion 'client->priv->done_enumerate' failed
and then:
"Falha de segmentação" [segfault]
With this commit [1], gnome-power-manager requires UPower-0.99.0, which is also required by rest of GNOME. But that version is not suitable for BLFS since it has dropped deprecated stuff (including support for pm-utils) and it requires systemd for some tasks, if not as a hard dependency.
The solution is probably to drop the package.

Please, I need confirmation that cheese works fine. It seems to work, program opens, but I do not have the hardware. Otherwise, I will not be able to tag "checked". Thanks.
