The reference to libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0 was actually from:
libmidori-core.so.1 => /usr/lib/libmidori-core.so.1 (0xb76ae000)
Because I was using a DESTDIR to investigate, and the installed one was with gtk+2 (webkitgt-1), it gave the false result.

Compiled with gtk+2, only libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0 appear in the program and library. The log gives:
With gtk+3, although libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0 appears with ldd for the program (not for the library), further investigation with scanelf shows that it is not /usr/bin/midori that refers directly to it:
