parted-3.2 fails to build with --disable-device-mapper

Description

I was trying to build parted-3.2 last night, on an LFS-7.4 system. Using -disable-device-mapper it failed to build, with some sort of 'DM' references in the error messages. At that time, it was easiest for me to drop in LVM2. Don't have time to test a current system at the moment, but gentoo have a patch at http://data.gpo.zugaina.org/funtoo/sys-block/parted/files/parted-3.2-devmapper.patch which might be related.

For the moment, I'll flag this up so that we don't forget it for 7.6.

Confirm the problem.

Confirm the solution: patched, make completes.

Would you like to do this yourself? If not, I can do it.

I don't mind either way - I won't have time until perhaps the middle of next week.

Summary: parted-3.2 fails to build without device-mapperparted-3.2 fails to build with --disable-device-mapper

Actually, having device-mapper and using --disable-device-mapper also hits the error, so, changing slightly the title.

You always impress me: how did you find a patch in Funtoo?

Please, tell me or modify if you don't agree with something.
