Need to verify why the PATH needs to be modified.

Recommend we remove the setting of the PATH. There is a mention in the Appendix that $PREFIX/sbin should be added to the path for root. We can also add $GNOME_PREFIX/sbin to the PATH to the configuration section <​http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/cvs/gnome/lib-config.html>.
