1.1.1 is not yet released. The tarball on their ftp site is for an RC release of 1.1.1 but is named incorrectly.

Sorry. There was a discussion on the OOo mailing lists that the tarball that is marked as 1.1.1 on the ftp site is in reaility 1.1.1rc3. They just made a announcement that 1.1.1 is released. ​http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=announce&msgNo=198

OO-1.1.2 requires bison-1.875a, which is currently only in the unstable release.

Just a reminder. OO-1.1.1p also required a patch to build agains NPTL. Check to see if this is the case for 1.1.2.
