Description ¶
Currently, our installation of OMNI drivers is unusable for CUPS users. We install ghostscript device (which is unknown to Foomatic anyway) but not CUPS filters. One could install OMNI as a separate package so that it would work with CUPS. This obviously makes ghostscript level support obsolete. Almost all distros provide OMNI packaged this way.

Could this be a wont fix? We no longer have any instructions to install Omni. It would just be a new added package.

Closing bug. The only place omni is mentioned in the book is in the esp ghostscript section where we tell it not to use omni.
If someone really wants omni drivers, a hint would be appropriate.
Requires testing before inclusion into the book. See: http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/blfs-dev/2004-May/005989.html
