Description ¶
tetex 2.0.2 installed by the book replaces /usr/bin/readlink previously installed by coreutils with an inferior version. The manual page is also being replaced.

hotplug is not in lfs-5.1.x. So we can safely move this to the next release.

It is safe only if nothing else tries to pass the "-f" option to readlink.

Just if it matters: I can confirm that; this is from my tetex installation log: install -c readlink /usr/bin install -c -m 644 readlink.1 /usr/man/man1/readlink.1

The remove_readlink patch works as expected and the TeX installation does not attempt to install readlink or the man page. Confirmed 7/2/04 during a Tex install.

Alexander: Do you have a patch or a workaround for this issue? Else we can probably move this bug to the next release with a warning in the current release.
