Version 5.8 is due in early October and there are 6 more releases scheduled about a month apart before BLFS 7.11. Wait until November.

Updated to kf5-5.28, plasma-5.8.3, and kf5-apps-16.08.3 at revision 17972.

Included separate builds for five packages from kf5 and one package from plasma in lxqt.
