This package has issues, specifically, they left out the automake tools - install-sh and missing. Some indications on gnome mailing list show problems even where the obvious is fixed. Garnome staying with 0.30 for now.

The newest stable version (0.31.2) is specified by the GNOME 2.8 build instructions at: ​http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/platform/2.8/2.8.0/sources/

Keeping this bug open until GNOME 2.8 is finished and checked out in BLFS. No further 2.6 updates will be made to BLFS.
