Description ¶
From John Frankish on blfs-support:
The instructions incorrectly show that pcre2 is required, but in fact pcre is required.
Also, python is shown as optional, but the package will not compile without it.
And from Pierre:
The package needs pcre, but can be built with python3. Since python3 is now in LFS, we have the convention to not show the dependency. The optional one is python2. OTOH, we could mention the flag --with-python3 which may be useful of both python 2 and 3 are installed.
